In less than two minutes you will find yourself dreaming of a fairytale vacation to Prague Someday! As part of our series on visiting Prague, you can find out more about what to do in this city here.

Discover the vibrant and enchanting city of Prague in this travel video that will sweep you away to this amazing capital city of the Czech Republic.  You will be dazzled by the colorful buildings and extraordinary Romanesque, gothic and baroque architecture styles, all built over a thousand years.  Prague is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and is known as the golden city of a hundred spires, or some say a thousand spires. There are so many things to do in Prague.

Prague Castle is the largest medieval castle complex in the world where you can wander around the palatial castle grounds all day.  The castle has been in existence for nearly 13 centuries and has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  There are many gardens, alleyways and churches to explore on the castle grounds, including the St. Vitus Cathedral, the predominant Gothic structure in the castle complex.

The heart of the action is in the beautiful Old Town Square where the tower of the Town Hall has a famous 600-year-old astronomical clock that puts on a little show of moving statues every hour on the hour.  The huge twin towers of the fairytale-like Tyn Cathedral dominate the square.  The Church of St. Nicholas is a baroque wonder in itself and not to be missed.  The town square also has many restaurants where you can enjoy alfresco dining while admiring the beautiful architecture that surrounds the square.

Another popular place to visit in Prague is the Charles Bridge that connects the Old Town with the Lesser Town and is lined with 30 statues of saints and is a beautiful vantage point from which to view the city.  It is recommended that one see the bridge early in the morning or later in the evening as the throngs of tourist pack the bridge during the day.

After a long day of touring the city, why not take a break to enjoy a craft beer at one of the many beer halls and pubs in Prague, a city that is becoming famous for having some of the best artisanal beer in Europe. Take a look at our article Fairytales & Beer Vacation in Prague to learn more about why Prague is often referred to as the City of Beer.
